About This NLP Practitioner Program

NLP Coaching Academy's NLP Practitioner program in India is led by Vikram Dhar, an NLP Master Trainer certified by the American Board of NLP and an ICF Master Certified Coach, certified by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, the two co-founders of NLP, and trained by Robert Dilts, Judith DeLozier and Michael Hall — the who's who of NLP.

The program runs as seven days of classroom training or fifteen days of live online sessions, and totals roughly 120 hours of learning once assigned reading and supervised practice are included. Both formats cover identical content and lead to identical certification.

Participants are certified as NLP Practitioner by the American Board of NLP (ABNLP) and IAPCCT. Three certificate bundles are available. Combo III additionally delivers the 60 hours of coach-specific training and 10 hours of mentor coaching required for the ICF Level 1 (ACC) pathway.

The academy has certified 8,000+ coaches and NLP practitioners across 65+ countries and is accredited by ABNLP, IAPCCT, ICF and WANLPC. No prior NLP training is required to enrol.

Why NLP

NLP Is the Methodology
Behind Coaching That Changes Behaviour

Most coach training teaches you to hold a conversation. Very little of it teaches you what actually shifts a person's behaviour once the conversation ends. That gap is what NLP fills, and it is the reason this program teaches NLP and coaching as one integrated system rather than as two separate subjects.

01

Insight is not change

Clients routinely leave a session understanding exactly why they are stuck, and behave identically the following week. Understanding a pattern and being able to interrupt it are different capabilities. NLP is built around the second one.

02

Behaviour has structure

Procrastination, conflict avoidance, a limiting belief and a phobia are not moods. Each has a repeatable internal structure of language, internal imagery and state. Once you can hear that structure in a client's words, you can work with it deliberately rather than hoping rapport does the job.

03

The practitioner's own state is the instrument

You cannot hold a client steady in a state you cannot hold yourself. This program starts with self-application, which is why participants describe personal change before they describe professional skill.

04

Techniques without a model do not transfer

A list of techniques works in the classroom and collapses in a real session. The NLP communication model, meta programs and the Meta Model give you a way to decide what to do when the client in front of you does not match the demonstration.

05

Coaching gives the method its ethics

NLP supplies the how. The ICF competency framework and code of ethics supply the professional container: contracting, confidentiality, client autonomy and the boundary between coaching and therapy. Taught apart, each is incomplete.

06

A claim should survive a sceptic

NLP attracts extravagant claims. This program teaches what is demonstrable in the room, names the origin of each model, and leaves the mind-reading and instant-cure promises to other providers.

Vikram Dhar sets out this argument at greater length, including the five convictions that shape every program he runs, on his trainer page.

Where It Gets Used

Why Professionals Learn NLP

Most participants do not arrive wanting to become NLP practitioners. They arrive with a conversation they keep losing, a pattern they cannot shift, or a role that has outgrown the way they communicate. These are the settings where the material earns its keep.

Leadership

Difficult conversations that actually land

Performance feedback, conflict between team members, and the conversations most managers postpone. Perceptual positions and reframing give you somewhere to stand other than your own point of view.

Sales & Negotiation

Understanding what drives a decision

Meta programs explain why the same pitch persuades one buyer and irritates the next. Rapport and calibration let you notice the shift in the room before it shows up in the answer.

HR & People

Building internal coaching capability

HR and L&D teams use this to run coaching conversations in-house, handle grievance and exit discussions, and train managers to do the same without outsourcing every difficult moment.

Coaching Practice

A method for when the session stalls

Coaches trained only in a questioning framework run out of options when a client circles the same belief. NLP gives you a structured intervention rather than another open question.

Training & Facilitation

Reading and moving a room

Trainers and facilitators use state management, anchoring and language patterns to hold attention across a full day and to shift a group that has gone flat or defensive.

Personal Change

Working on your own patterns first

Every technique is run on yourself before you run it on anyone else. Participants consistently report this as the part that mattered most, whatever they enrolled for.

What Changes in Practice

These are capability shifts, not personality transplants. They are the differences participants describe when asked what they can do now that they could not do before.

Reacting to pressure
Choosing your state deliberately
Talking past someone
Hearing the structure in what they say
Advice that gets ignored
Conversations that shift behaviour
Goals that stall
Outcomes specific enough to act on
Repeating a pattern
Interrupting it
The Program

NLP Practitioner Program in India

This is a seven-day classroom-based NLP Practitioner course in India, also available as a fifteen-day live online program, built around the integration of Neuro-Linguistic Programming with the coaching process. Participants learn to manage their own state and emotions, build rapport consciously and unconsciously, set and achieve well-formed outcomes, communicate with precision, understand motivation, resolve conflict, change unwanted beliefs and behaviours, and work with phobias and unhelpful memories.

NLP Practitioner training in India is in demand because the skills apply in two directions at once. NLP Practitioners use them for personal change work and for NLP coaching, and both are taught here. The focus throughout is on self-coaching first and coaching others second, on the principle that you cannot take a client somewhere you have not been yourself.

If you are looking for an entry-level NLP Practitioner program in India that does not stop at technique demonstrations, this is it. No prior NLP training is required.

This is not for you if you want to know about NLP and not implement it.

Who It Is For
Professionals who want practical tools for communication, influence and self-leadership
Coaches and aspiring coaches who want a methodology, not a script
Managers and leaders handling performance conversations and team conflict
HR and L&D professionals building internal coaching capability
Trainers and facilitators who want deeper behavioural range in the room
Counsellors and therapists adding NLP change work to their practice
Sales and client-facing professionals working on rapport and motivation
Anyone undertaking serious personal change, with no prior background needed
Two Ways to Attend

Choose Your Format:
Classroom or Live Online

Both formats are live and instructor-led, both are personally facilitated by Vikram Dhar, and both lead to identical certification. Neither is recorded. Choose on schedule and learning style, not on content.

Format One

7-Day Classroom Intensive

Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai · 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily

Seven consecutive days in the room. Live demonstrations, practice triads, group work and immediate correction from the trainer. The compressed format builds momentum quickly and the peer group tends to stay in contact long after the program ends.

Best for: learners who work well in high-energy immersive settings, and those who can take a week away from work.
Format Two

15-Day Live Online Program

Zoom · 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST daily

Fifteen evenings of live instructor-led sessions with guided practice between them. Spreading the material over three weeks gives you time to apply each pattern in real conversations before the next session, which suits people who learn by iteration.

Best for: working professionals, participants outside these cities, and international participants.

NLP Practitioner Certification Overview

Here Is What You Get

01

Internationally accredited NLP Practitioner certification

Bundled certificates from the American Board of NLP (ABNLP), IAPCCT and, on Combo II and Combo III, the International Coaching Federation. An integrated NLP Practitioner and coach certification of this scope is rare in Asia.

02

Every session delivered personally by Vikram Dhar

Not delegated to associates. All core modules are facilitated by an NLP Master Trainer who is also an ICF Master Certified Coach, a combination very few trainers hold.

03

Coverage across classic NLP, New Code and Neuro-Semantics (Also referred as Latest Code of NLP)

Classic NLP (Richard Bandler, Frank Pucelik, John Grinder), the New Code, and Neuro-Semantics and Meta-States frameworks, alongside work developed by Robert Dilts, Steve Andreas, Judith DeLozier, Tad James and David Gordon, etc. Taught as one system rather than a tour of schools.

04

Experiential learning, taught the NLP way

Demonstrations, drills and practice triads throughout. You will run patterns on yourself and on peers from the first day, because NLP learned only as theory does not survive contact with a real client.

05

Feedback on your practice coaching sessions

Structured observation of your peer coaching, with written feedback on what you did and what to adjust. Combos II and III include recorded submissions reviewed by a supervisor.

06

Reduced-cost refresher attendance

Return to selected sessions of future cohorts at reduced alumni cost, in either format, to keep the material sharp.

07

Preferential pricing on Master-level programs

Discounts and offers on NLP Master Practitioner and NLP Trainer certification as you progress up the pathway.

08

Lifelong mentoring and an active alumni network

Membership of the private practitioner community, ongoing access to senior coaches and trainers, and continued supervision opportunities long after the program ends.

If a Coaching Credential Is Your Goal

Also Your Gateway to ICF Level 1 (ACC)

This same program is our ICF Level 1 accredited coach training. Selecting Combo III turns your NLP Practitioner training into the 60 hours of coach-specific education the International Coaching Federation requires for the Associate Certified Coach credential, and adds the 10 hours of mentor coaching, supervised submissions and application support that go with it.

If the coaching credential rather than the NLP toolkit is your primary goal, the ICF Level 1 page sets out the ACC requirements, the credentialing timeline and the mentor coaching structure in full.

Vikram Dhar
NLP Master Trainer · ICF MCC

Vikram Dhar is a Certified NLP Master Trainer under the American Board of NLP, the trainer-of-trainers level that authorises certification of NLP Practitioners, Master Practitioners and trainers. He is also an ICF Master Certified Coach, the highest credential the International Coaching Federation awards, held by fewer than 4% of coaches worldwide. Very few trainers anywhere hold both.

He is certified by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, the two co-founders of NLP. He is also a Licensed Meta NLP Trainer in Neuro-Semantics under Michael Hall, co-founder of Neuro-Semantics, with licence to deliver Meta NLP and Neuro-Semantics programs including Meta-States and the Meta Coaching model.

He has trained directly with Robert Dilts and Judith DeLozier, co-developers of NLP, and attended sessions with Frank Pucelik, a co-founder, and with Stephen Gilligan, Connirae Andreas, early developers of NLP. That is an unusually direct lineage: classic NLP, New Code, third-generation applications and Neuro-Semantics, each traceable to its originator.

Before coaching, he spent fourteen years in cybersecurity leadership at Ernst & Young and IBM, managing teams across India, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. He holds an MS in Computer Science from Bradley University. He has been ranked among the Global Gurus Top 30 in NLP and the Top 100 Global Coaches, and has trained participants from more than 65 countries.

Yes. The NLP Practitioner certificate issued on this program is recognised by the American Board of NLP (ABNLP), USA, and by the International Association of Professional Coaches, Counselors and Therapists (IAPCCT). Attend the seven-day classroom program in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi or Dubai, or the fifteen-day live online program, complete the assigned reading if you have chosen Combo II or Combo III, and submit your recorded practice coaching sessions. Both. The classroom format runs over seven consecutive days in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi or Dubai, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The live online format runs over fifteen days on Zoom, 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST. Both are instructor-led by Vikram Dhar, neither is recorded, and both lead to identical certification.
No. NLP Practitioner is the entry-level qualification in the NLP pathway and the program assumes no prior knowledge. Participants join from every professional background, including complete beginners. What is required is willingness to practise in the room rather than only observe.

Combo III adds the full ICF Level 1 (ACC) pathway, with 60 training hours, 10 hours of mentor coaching and ICF filing support.

Practically, participants report clearer communication, better control of their own state under pressure, more effective handling of difficult conversations, and the ability to shift long-standing patterns in themselves. Professionally, the same models underpin coaching, leadership conversations, sales and facilitation, which is why the skills transfer across roles.
Yes, through Combo III. It delivers the 60 hours of coach-specific education and 10 hours of mentor coaching that the International Coaching Federation requires for the Associate Certified Coach credential, plus supervised submissions and application support. The credential itself is awarded by the ICF, not by NLP Coaching Academy.
The NLP pathway continues with NLP Master Practitioner and then NLP Trainer certification, with preferential pricing for graduates. If your interest is the coaching route, Combo III leads to the ICF ACC credential and from there to ICF Level 2 (PCC). Many graduates do both over time.
The academy has certified more than 8,000 coaches and NLP practitioners across 65 countries, holds accreditation from ABNLP, IAPCCT, ICF and WANLPC, and integrates NLP with coach training in a single program rather than selling them separately.
