What is the starting point in learning NLP?
The most popular starting point in learning NLP is Certified NLP Practitioner Program (5 days+ training versions available), followed by Certified NLP Master Practitioner Program (8 days+ training versions available), and then followed by Certified NLP Trainer. There is another smaller duration training program available as well, Certified NLP Diploma also called as NLP Foundation program (2 days program). Depending on what is the outcome in terms of learning NLP, people decide to attend one of these programs. Somebody who wants to test the water will go for an NLP Diploma Program, and somebody who has already decided that they want to go deeper into NLP will straightaway start from Certified NLP Practitioner Program, and follow it up with Certified NLP Master Practitioner and Certified NLP Trainer Level.

What is the difference between NLP and Coaching?
NLP is a framework / Methodology which is used to Coach. NLP based classic programs generally have been Transformative (Personal and Business) Programs. The classic route of training programs have been (Certified NLP Diploma -> Certified NLP Practitioner -> Certified NLP Master Practitioner -> Certified NLP Trainer), modified over a period as per the Coaching Industry to meet the demands of the coaching industry.
NLP based Coaching programs are basically an application of NLP framework / techniques / methodology to coach people. It is a customized NLP training program where somebody learns how to become a Coach and use NLP as a methodology to do so.
What to expect after a Certified NLP Practitioner level?
After attending a Certified NLP Practitioner Program expect to be more aware of yourself, people around you, how your beliefs work, what makes you click and move towards your goals, how to set goals, how to get into great states (Confidence, Peace, Calm, Focused etc.), how to get into instant rapport with people, and many other benefits. The program only enables you to start and become aware of the use of NLP. The results will be based on how much effort a person will put post the program to make NLP a way of life, and continue to learn more and explore more for even better results in their personal and professional life.
Why do I need to do an NLP Master Practitioner level?
Not everybody wants to do an NLP Master Practitioner level. Those who want to learn advanced NLP skills (Modeling, in-depth Ericksonian Hypnosis, advanced Coaching techniques ++ more) attend an NLP Master Practitioner level to enhance their skills for personal and business reasons.
In short, this is based on individual need, and continuous skill building aspiration.
How to become a Certified NLP Trainer?
To become a Certified NLP Trainer you have to attend an NLP program with a Certified Master NLP Trainer who represents a certain accredited body, and you have to align as per the values and ethics of the accreditation body to work as an NLP Trainer. There are many accredited bodies of NLP (Society of NLP, American Board of NLP, Association of NLP, UK, NLP University etc.), pretty much the oldest accredited bodies. There are other bodies as well, which got formed in due course of time by other Master Trainers of NLP, and represent an association of NLP Practitioners, NLP Master Practitioners who basically are certified under these bodies. The quality of the NLP Trainer is dependent on the mentor Master Trainers, under whom they have learnt NLP and many other factors.
NLP accredited bodies usually accept participants at different levels. E.g if somebody has done NLP Practitioner and NLP Master Practitioner with ‘X’ accredited body, and wants to become an NLP Trainer and do that with another accredited body, then usually the accreditation body will accept the person into a program only after they complete their due diligence. This is to ensure that some level of consistency is there considering there are many fraudulent NLP accredited bodies who are doing 2 days Practitioner and 3 days Master Practitioner programs and the skill level of the Practitioners are questionable. Also, if somebody has to become a Certified NLP Trainer the best way to become one is to see with which Master Trainer(s) of NLP you want to associate with, what are their values and ethics, their reputation and their view about NLP and Coaching. Certified NLP Trainer is the highest level of NLP Training as after that a person is going to certify others, so the responsibility lies with both the participant and the accredited body. Accredited bodies will ensure that a person has to be of a certain level before they get NLP Trainer Certificate, and show continuous passion to develop further skills in NLP.

The answer to the above two questions is ‘Yes’. NLP is a Personal and Business Transformative program. NLP training programs are very popular when it comes to programs for Personal and Business Mastery. People get to set powerful beliefs, break limiting beliefs, remove phobias, learn how to set up rapport easily with others, which helps in both personal and professional life, remove bad memories, set up goals in a way so that they can be achieved etc.
